The purpose of this guide is to help physical education teacher education (PETE) programs build Active Schools concepts and strategies into their curricula so that the next generation of physical education teachers are prepared to take on the role of Physical Activity Leader and Active School Champion. This guide was developed after reviewing the research and literature on integrating comprehensive school physical activity programming (CSPAP) into PETE programs.
