You’re here, so you understand the importance of physical education when it comes to the overall development of your students.

Daily activity is crucial for kids’ healthy physical, social and emotional, and academic development. But it doesn’t always get the attention it deserves, especially when competing priorities come into play. At Active Schools, we aim to change that.

Take Your Parent to PE Week is a fun, immersive way to introduce parents to the physical education program and teachers at your school. The week-long, national campaign encourages parents to engage with PE throughout the year and encourages families to be physically active together at home and in the community.

We hope your school will participate! Check out the downloads on the right for all the materials you’ll need to get the ball rolling! Please be sure to coordinate with your principal, district lead or decision-maker, particularly when it comes to media promotion and social media rules.

For parents who are eager to help and participate, please direct them to our parent toolkit available to help make their participation fun and easy.

While not mandatory, registering your school as a Take Your Parent to PE Week participant will help us track success and make your child’s school eligible to receive prizes from our generous partners.
